Dear Client,
Aruba has been placed under a Tropical Watch by the authorities of Aruba. This morning we experienced a few downpours already, but the mass of rains can be expected during the next 24 to 36 hours.
We have been in touch with the directors of APA and ASTEC as well as with Mr. Wouters of Customs.
Please be advised that no boats (!) will be allowed to leave or enter the Barcadera harbor as of 12:00 noon today, September 29, 2016, and such straight on to Monday morning, October 3, 2016.
We advise you to take all necessary precautions possible in the warehouses and buildings in the free zone for safety of persons and to protect goods.
Please consider covering goods/merchandise with tarpons. Goods should not rest directly on the floor, but rather be placed on pallets.
Please remove any loose objects outside of your company building since gusts of wind may have their way with them and that could become a very dangerous situation.
Let us better be safe than sorry.
Our office will be closed on Friday, September 30, 2016.
In case of emergency please call:
Police – 100
Fire Department – 911
FZA – 5932859 or 5931413
Sincerely,
Greg Peterson
Managing Director FZA NV
